Members Area

Eclectic Voices uses the internet for internal communication. We use: A mailing list managed by Yahoo! (a Yahoo! Group). This mailing list is for any member to send out information of interest to all other members, and is used extensively for information about forthcoming concerts and rehearsals. Membership of this list is essential for active choir members. If you think you should be on this list, and are not, then you can join this list by sending an email to eclecticvoices-subscribe@yahoogroups.co.uk with your name and the date that you first came to a rehearsal. If you are already a member but you are not receiving emails from this list, contact Andrew.  This web site, which has both our current schedule (in a public area) and material specific to choir members (in a private area). The private area of the website is here. All choir members should have an ID and password to access this area. If you do not have an ID and password, and should have, then contact Andrew. Note: Emails from the Yahoo! mailing list are often (wrongly) labeled as 'spam' by email services. After joining the list, please check that email is not being sent to your junk email folder, and if it does, please alter your 'contacts' list to avoid this happening. You may find that you don't need all the emails that come from the Yahoo group. There are two things you can do: Cut down the number of emails which you send! in particular, most Replies should be sent to the original sender, not to the group as a whole. (Don't use reply/all unless you really want 50 other people to see the email!!) If you sign up to a free Yahoo account, then you can control emails - cutting it down to one email per day with a summary, or you can view all messages on line without emails. You will not receive the attachments if you do this. If you fail to get an attachment, let me know and I'll put it on the website.
